Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris France to British parents Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson who were both lawyers. They relocated to Oxfordshire in the year she turned five years old and attended at the Dragon School. Emma was only six when she realized she wanted to become an actress. She was trained for many years in Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a full-time school of theatre in Oxford where she was taught acting as well as singing. She had already performed in numerous Stagecoach as well as school plays by the time she was ten years old. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone The 2001 film version of J.K. Rowling's bestselling book was cast in 1999. Agents for casting found Emma by way of her Oxford theatre instructor. David Heyman, the producer of Harry Potter Harry Potter's Sorcerer's Stone and Ron Weasley told Emma after 8 auditions, that she had been selected for the parts. Emma was chosen to play alongside Daniel Radcliffe Rupert Grint and Rupert Grint. Emma's first film on the screen was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, released in 2001. This film was 2001's highest earning film, smashing records during the opening day and first weekend. The film received praise from reviewers, and so were the performances of its three new starlets. The highly distributed British newspaper The Daily Telegraph called her performances admirable. Emma received five awards to honor her role in the film.
